So, I love taking photos, but I thoroughly procrastinate every time I am forced to think of a title. I’ve already got these all framed and matted and hung all nice. Any ideas?! My favorite suggestions just *might* win a free signed metallic print…
Hi Lucy. You’re photography is outstanding. Thanks for dropping by my little blog. Here’s some thoughts on tittles. I hope they’re not too ridiculous…
#1 The rest rooms are for customer use only
#1 Sorry, Cash only.
#2 Just follow the arrow
#2 Reminds me of the time we all went bowling
#3 Of cowboys and clowns
#4 One hour to flight time
#5 It’s all about holding on
#5 If I could just shake this damn cowboy!
#6 I’ll get out of this town if my luck ever changes
#7 The ride along
#8 Everyone laughed at the vibrating beds…
#9 N2
#10 Every year we hope there’s enough.
Here are my titles. Don’t take them too seriously, I was in the middle of breakfast and had some time to comment!
#1 Lonely Gas Station
#2 Sunday Morning Bowl
#3 In Between Jobs
#4 Engine Repair
#5 Alien Lift
#6 Luke of the Irish
#7 The Force Over Clouds
#8 Monroe Motel
#9 Sweet Landing
#10 Cozy Barn Light
Thanks for following – nice selection of shots and great fun to read through people’s suggestions for titles. Giving a title to a photograph is, for me anyways, in an intensely personal endeavour for only I can know what I was thinking, feeling, remembering, associating with or wanting to ascribe to that particular second. Everyone brings their own luggage to the game so it’s interesting to see what our photographs make people think of – when I’m stuck or for archival purposes I usually end up with something simple like “red dog” or “nose” – whatever will pop up fastest in a search!

Really evocative shots, Lacy, that top one shouts ‘Running on Empty’ for some reason. xxx Ailsa
